This time of year, many of us are planning our next vacation. To ensure your holiday is as relaxing and stress-free as possible, we talked to Saad Syed from The Mobile Shop to get his list of vacation tech essentials.

Entertainment for the whole family. Listening tastes differ and whether it’s a long car ride, a flight or just some down-time at your destination, your fellow travellers are bound to have different movies, music or podcasts on the go. Bluetooth headphones and speakers ensure everyone can listen to what they want without creating a lot of noise.

Security for your personal device. It can be tempting to login to all those free Wi-Fi travel networks all around you, but using open networks can be risky for your logins, credit card numbers and more. VPN can be a helpful way to protect and encrypt your data, so consider opting for a VPN service before you go.

Stay juiced up. Going off the grid isn’t the only time that battery backup can be a huge help. Battery backup is one of the best ways to ensure a low phone battery doesn’t keep you in the room instead of on the beach or out at the club.

Get beach-body ready. Now is the perfect time to get a head start on your beach body. Portable workout devices or wearables are some easy ways to get fit or monitor your fitness levels without counting steps or calories. The apps that come with them are also perfect for staying motivated and sticking to your routine.

Keep everything in one place. Limit the number of things you have to carry with a stick-on phone wallet to carry essentials like your credit card, cash and ID all on the back of your phone. Look for phone-wallet hybrids to keep everything in one place.
